These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Laso mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Laso Health Technologies, Inc. ("Laso," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, creating an account, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use our Services. By using Laso, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Services
Laso is a symptom intelligence platform that translates natural health language into structured, meaningful data. The Services may include voice-based and text-based symptom capture, longitudinal pattern analysis, trigger identification, appointment preparation tools, and exportable health summaries. Certain features may be available only to beta users, Founding Members, or paid subscribers.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Services at any time, with reasonable notice where feasible.
3. Medical Disclaimer
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding your health and any symptoms you experience. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
4. User Accounts
You must create an account to access certain features of the Services. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
- Notify us promptly at support@getlaso.app if you believe your account has been compromised
- Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
5. Subscriptions & Payments
Laso offers a free tier with core symptom logging features. No payment information is required to use the free tier. Paid subscription plans are also available and unlock additional features. Pricing, billing cycles, and the features included in each plan will be clearly displayed at the time of purchase.
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your device's app store account settings (Apple App Store or Google Play), and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue refunds for partially used billing periods, except where required by applicable law. If pricing changes, we will provide advance notice, and continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Where a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel beforehand. Trial eligibility is limited to one trial per user.
Founding Member pricing and benefits, where offered, are locked in for the duration of your continuous subscription. Terms specific to the Founding Member program will be communicated at enrollment.
6. Voice & Health Data
Laso's core functionality relies on the voluntary input of health-related information, including voice recordings, typed descriptions, and symptom details you choose to share. By using these features, you acknowledge and consent to:
- The processing of voice recordings by Laso and its trusted third-party vendors for the purpose of symptom detection and structured data generation
- The secure storage of your health-related inputs in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which describes the technical and organizational measures in place to protect your information
- The use of your de-identified, aggregated data to improve Laso's language interpretation and symptom intelligence systems; your directly identifiable information is not used for model training
You retain full ownership of the health data you provide. Laso does not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for complete details on how your information is collected, used, and protected.
7. Early Access & Communications
By joining our waitlist, signing up for early access, or participating in beta programs, you consent to receive communications about product updates, testing opportunities, and community news. You may opt out at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any of our emails or by contacting us at support@getlaso.app.
Beta features are provided "as is" and may be modified, limited, or discontinued at any time. Feedback you provide about beta features may be used to improve the Services.
8. User Conduct
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Attempt unauthorized access to our systems, infrastructure, or other user accounts
- Introduce malicious code, scripts, viruses, or exploits
- Use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or harmful purposes
- Misrepresent your identity or provide false health information for the purpose of manipulating the platform
- Reproduce, distribute, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Services without our prior written consent
- Use the Services to collect or harvest personal information about other users
9. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, software, code, design, the Language Anchored Symptom Ontology (LASO), and all data architecture elements within the Laso Services are the exclusive property of Laso Health Technologies, Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding for any purpose. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited without prior written consent.
10. Artificial Intelligence
The Services incorporate AI and Natural Language Processing technologies to provide symptom intelligence features. By using the Services, you acknowledge that AI is used to process your health descriptions and generate structured outputs. All AI usage complies with applicable laws and is designed to operate in accordance with this agreement and our Privacy Policy.
AI-generated outputs (including symptom patterns, trigger analyses, and appointment summaries) are based on user-reported data and computational analysis only. They do not constitute clinical findings or medical advice. See Section 3.
11. Third-Party Services
The Services utilize third-party service providers to deliver core and supporting functionality, each governed by their own terms and conditions. Laso evaluates these providers for their data handling practices and requires them to operate under confidentiality and data processing agreements. Laso is not responsible for the independent content, policies, or practices of third-party services. Some features of the Services require an active internet connection, which Laso cannot guarantee.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you materially breach these Terms. Where a breach is capable of being remedied, we will provide written notice and allow 14 days to cure the breach before taking action. We may suspend or terminate access immediately and without notice for violations of applicable law, intellectual property infringement, or conduct that could cause harm to other users or Laso.
Upon termination, your right to use the Services will end and you must delete the Application from your devices. You may stop using the Services at any time by deleting your account. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Laso shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption — arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Services, including reliance on any health insights generated by the platform.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Laso in the 12 months preceding the claim, or the minimum amount required under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Laso Health Technologies, Inc., its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising directly from your breach of these Terms or your intentional misuse of the Services. This indemnification does not apply to claims arising from Laso's own negligence, breach of these Terms, or violation of applicable law.
15. Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first at support@getlaso.app to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court — except that either party may bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies. You agree to resolve disputes with us individually and not as part of a class action. Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions, except to the extent that mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
17. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting an updated version with a revised "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by direct notification. Continued use of the Services following notice of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Laso concerning your use of the Services.
